Everyone (I hope) knows how insane it is for us, as a species, to have thousands of nuclear weapons ready to launch on a moments notice. Maybe someone out there knows how insane it is too. This is potentially the biggest story in our history and the implications are staggering. If the UAP/UFO phenomenon has an alien explanation, then perhaps it will give us more incentive, globally, to reduce our nuclear arsenals and to do more to stop the spread of nuclear weapons…kind of like when children will behave better when their parents are watching.
If UAP has an alien explanation, then they could easily deflect asteroids (maybe they have) or shield the sun from space to prevent a runaway greenhouse effect. But who knows? Maybe we get one free warning, then it’s up to us to grow up and stop this disasterous free fall that we’re on. Maybe then they’ll share some of their knowledge and technology?

LG is correct. The implications are enormous. But what are the implications that UAP have been intruding into airspace for decades? Those implications are enormous as well, because we don’t really understand what they are, or why they are. There is no question anymore that any organization or government on earth has had the capabilities of what are apparently alien vehicles in the skies and in the seas. What is even more disconcerting is that our science community, particularly those in the atmospheric sciences like astronomers, are so entrenched with an antipathy against UFOs being alien craft that it borders on hysteria. What else can they be? If anyone takes the time to study the vast amount of data, they will come away with a somber realization. Scientists act ‘as if’ nothing is happening. If scientists have put their collective heads in the sand on this issue, it is up to the American public to hammer away at the ridicule and the embargo from the media and join with Ms. Kean and others to ‘get the word out.’ The real word. Thank you Dr. Michio Kaku and John Podesta for assisting in this all too important issue.

Thanks cygnusalbus. Personally, I wouldn’t expect (or want) the scientific community to behave any differently than they have been up to now. Legitimate UFO/UAP sightings are very rare and funding for research just isn’t there for something that can be fairly easily dismissed by, say, looking at all the fake UFO videos on the internet. I suspect that many scientists are privately interested in this subject because we now have greater numbers of very obviously sane and intelligent people coming forward with solid evidence that there are things flying around in our skies that can outperform anything that our current technology can produce.
“What else can they be?” I think Ms. Kean’s agnostic approach to this phenomenon is the only way to go at this point. Once scientists can openly speculate about UFOs without being ridiculed, we will likely see great minds going to work at solving this fascinating puzzle. Is the USAF holding back useful information (photos, videos, interactions with these objects)? I’m not sure it matters much anymore when we see other evidence that is coming to light from within the USA and from other countries. It is a frustrating process to know that something spectacularly important is happening, and see most people around us continue to dismiss this phenomenon as the northern lights or marsh gas. However, maybe that’s the way it needs to be. Too much too soon could frighten a lot of people, and frightened people can be dangerous. If aliens are operating these things in the sky, then I suspect they know a lot more about us than we know about ourselves.
In any case, even if no one has another legitimate UFO/UAP sighting for 500 years (if we don’t blow ourselves up or destroy the planet, or get wiped out by a super volcano, etc.), recent evidence will likely keep mathematicians, physicists, philosophers, and the rest of us busy for a long time.
